We've tried to come up with something for everyone, in an effort to encourage your participation. But if we somehow missed the mark, and you don't see a package that suits your needs, let us know! We're willing to work with you to provide you with exactly what you are looking for.

Blessed Maine Herb Farm, established in 1977 and doing business since 1989, is a small family farm that is a MOFGA Certified Organic Grower and Processor. Over the 23 years we’ve been in operation we’ve earned a reputation for offering herbs, herbal products and services of impeccable quality.

In an effort to stay abreast of the times, which as we see it, increasingly call for the development of deep, sustaining and supportive community relationships, we are expanding our offerings to include a Community Supported Medicine share opportunity. This is your invitation to step into the vision and co-create an herbal medicine community with us.

Geographical location is not an obstacle. This invitation is open to local Maine people as well as those from afar. We’ll have several pick-up points around Maine and we are also willing to ship packages to your location elsewhere for a small additional fee.

Our intention: The Blessed Maine Herb Farm CSM is intended to be a community of individuals who pledge support to our herb farm so that our land becomes, in a spiritual sense, the community’s farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks as well as the joys and benefits of herbal medicine growing and production.

Our CSM will operate similar to a vegetable CSA but our focus is on plant based medicine, healing, wellness and education. Share holders in the CSM will get medicinal herbs such as calendula, elderberries and skullcap instead of kale and potatoes. You’ll have access to herbal educational opportunities as well.

CSM share holders will choose from a list of assorted freshly harvested bulk dried herbs as well as manufactured items such as herbal tinctures, formulas, syrups, oils and salves. The opportunity to participate in monthly herb walks around the farm during the growing season, is also part of our packages.

How it works: You basically choose a package plan from those available. There are plenty of options within each plan. Each plan saves you, the shareholder, at least 25% of the retail cost of these items, a considerable savings! Another big incentive to join our herbal medicine community!

We’ll have a pick-up point at our farm, at the Skowhegan Farmer’s Market and at several other locations around Maine on Saturday, October 13 and 27. We’re also happy to ship your herbal package directly to your home anywhere in the USA and Canada for the additional cost of the shipping.

Bonus: All shareholders in the Blessed Maine Herb Farm CSM are entitled to a 25% reduction in the fee of any herbal class offered by Gail on the Blessed Maine Herb Farm during the year of their membership. For 2012 Harvest Package shareholders, that includes classes on the farm this spring, summer & fall! WOW! What a deal!

Our mission: To establish within the community the understanding that herbal medicine and healthy nutritious food are essentially one and the same thing. Both are critically necessary and work together to provide the foundation of good preventive health care, helping to ensure sound health and vitality for individuals, families and the community as a whole.

To provide monthly herbal education opportunities on the farm for our shareholders so that they may learn how to best utilize the herbal packages and make the most of their membership in our CSM.

This is community building at it's finest, from the ground up!
